A specialized training for the implementers and partners of the international AGREE project (AI-Driven Agricultural Innovation Network), funded by the Swedish Institute, was held in Stockholm, Sweden. The training brought together representatives from Ukrainian partner universities, including the State University of Trade and Economics and Lviv Polytechnic National University.

The event was conducted in a “Train-the-Trainer” format. Its primary objective was to prepare Ukrainian researchers and experts who will subsequently serve as knowledge multipliers (cascade trainers), conducting training sessions for academic staff and end-users, specifically representatives of the agribusiness sector.

The keynote speakers and trainers for the event were leading international experts from Sweden and Estonia:

• Artem Boyarchuk – Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia.
• Anders Johansson, Oleksii Pasichnyi and Olga Kordas – KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Key topics and practical modules of the training:

1. Agritech Ecosystem and Mapping: Analysis of the Agritech landscape map, systematization of technologies by types of farming operations, and the role of key sector organizations.
2. Digital Innovations and Sensing Technologies in Action: Case studies on the practical application of satellite technologies, sensor models, robotics, and artificial intelligence for precision agriculture and monitoring.
3. Sustainable Soil Resource Management: Evidence-based effectiveness of advanced soil conservation and restoration methods aligned with the priorities of the EU Green Deal.
4. Best Practices for International Transfer: Evaluation of applied case studies, research programs, and technology effectiveness models for adaptation within the Ukrainian agricultural sector.
5. Strategic Recommendations and Cascade Training: Development of practical guidelines for farmers and agricultural advisors, alongside a methodology for knowledge transfer to end-users within the framework of the AGREE project.

The analytical materials and practical case studies acquired during the training will serve as the foundation for developing educational modules for the comprehensive training course “AI Innovations for Agribusiness,” currently being prepared by the project team.
