Within the framework of international project implementation, a working meeting was held between the coordinators and researchers of two prominent research initiatives: AGREE (AI-Driven Agricultural Innovation Network) and BIOSORBWATECH (Development of Sustainable Water and Wastewater Treatment Technologies Using Biosorbents), both funded by the Swedish Institute (SI). The meeting took place in Lublin, Poland, during an academic working visit to Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS).

The event convened project coordinators and researchers representing universities and institutions across Sweden, Poland, Latvia, and Ukraine.

The primary objective of the meeting was to consolidate scientific potential, exchange practical expertise, and enhance the overall implementation efficiency of both projects. Participants identified key strategic points of intersection between the development of ecologically safe biosorption technologies for water purification and resource conservation (the BIOSORBWATECH project) and the application of digital and AI-driven solutions for sustainable development and safe land management in the agricultural sector (the AGREE project).

Key Directions of Cooperation Identified at the Meeting:

• Interdisciplinary Synergy: Aligned methodologies for integrating water security and purification research findings into the overarching framework of sustainable agribusiness and land rehabilitation in compliance with EU Green Deal requirements.

• Exchange of Best Practices: Examined practical case studies in managing Swedish Institute-funded grant initiatives, thereby extending the institutional partner network across leading European universities.

• Enhancing Implementation Efficiency: Defined joint measures for disseminating innovative technological and digital solutions among target stakeholders, including agricultural producers, business representatives, researchers, and higher education students.

Combining the efforts of the AGREE and BIOSORBWATECH research teams unlocks new opportunities for addressing complex environmental and technological challenges, facilitating the practical integration of European standards into national science and agribusiness.
